HS Jobs Ireland (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a construction health & safety job board operated by Safety Check Ltd in the Republic of Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
- Job posters: the contact email, company name and job details you submit when posting a listing.
- Account holders: your name and email address if you create an account.
- Enquiries: the name, email and message you send through our contact form.
- Payment data: card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details – we only receive confirmation of payment.
- Technical data: basic usage and device information collected to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your data
- To publish and manage the job listings you pay to post.
- To email you confirmation when your listing goes live and a reminder before it expires.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (publishing your paid listing), on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the job board, and with your consent where applicable (for example, optional updates).
Sharing your data
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the board – such as Stripe (payments) and our hosting and email providers. We never sell your personal data. Job details you submit for a listing are published publicly on the board, which is their intended purpose.
Data retention
Listings and their associated details are retained while active and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records and legal obligations. You can ask us to remove your data at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
